Can't play online co-op

Hi,

How exactly do you join an online co-op game? Is it using Steam Invite/Join game functionality? I've tried that and I've also tried the "Join by IP" function, but neither works. There is no error message either to help troubleshoot.

Do you need to forward a port or something?

Even without that it should work if you invite friends or join a friend by clicking on their name in the Steam UI and clicking Join Game there. However, currently there is a bug where you need to click the Public box in the game in order for that option to be available. This should get fixed later in the week.

IS it possible that a lobby can be formed and a chat area, then can start game from lobby?

After trying many things and sniffing traffic, you need to forward port 7777 UDP to be able to connect to another player.

Hrm, Steam is supposed to handle NAT tunnelling so you don't have to open the game port, but I should have indicated that port anyway just in case. Sorry you had to figure it out the hard way.

Ok, I was able to join a player and proceed with a co-op game.
He was the host.
I have a friend that can play with the same guy.
He seems to be the only one that can host.
I have tried the port and it didn't work.
So has my other friend..
Sometimes I would see his game but would not connect.

I think I figured out what the problem is. Should be able to put together an update late today or sometime tomorrow.
