You were right, my partner was clicking Main Menu, which is what was kicking me. But it's weird that when you fail a mission, you can either retry it, or quit the game. Couldn't it be possible to go back to the map selection screen while remaining in the party?

After more testing, the only way for Player 2 to select a perk is to ask Player 1 not to touch anything at the end of the map until Player 2 has selected his perk.

Note: I'm talking about Online Coop, and I'm the client. The host doesn't get any weird behavior.

Also, when the host dies, the map continues as I can't be killed since noone can shoot me. But there's no way for me to kill the enemies either, so we have to quit the game.

As an additional note, this doesn't happen when playing Online Campaign Coop with the same guy and the same setup.

All my tests are playing online coop. I was the client, and I was the one being kicked. The host was going back to the map selection menu while I was getting kicked to the main menu.

We were on Skype and tested this over 10 times, so it is a constant behavior.

When playing co-op, once the game ends, if Player 2 is selecting his perk and Player 1 decides to keep going, Player 2 gets kicked off the perks menu and back into the Map Selection menu. When playing Skirmish coop, as soon as the game ends, around half the time I immediately get kicked out of the game and back into the main menu.

While playing Coop in map Canyon Complex, as soon as the map start as Player 2 (I joined my friend's game), I fly up and off the map. I am higher than the level and I can see my bullets coming down at weird angles. I also see jet fumes if I move. It does this 100% of the time on this map.

After trying many things and sniffing traffic, you need to forward port 7777 UDP to be able to connect to another player.

How exactly do you join an online co-op game? Is it using Steam Invite/Join game functionality? I've tried that and I've also tried the "Join by IP" function, but neither works. There is no error message either to help troubleshoot.

Do you need to forward a port or something?
